Rodmon Sevilla is a Vancouver-based Filipino-Canadian filmmaker, writer, and visual effects artist, known for his diverse talents in both digital and traditional mediums. His career began with a deep-rooted passion for traditional art, but it was in the realms of filmmaking and visual effects where he found his true creative calling.
After completing the 3D Animation & VFX program at Vancouver Film School, Rodmon quickly established himself within the industry, working at world-class studios like Wildbrain, Bardel, SONY, DNEG, MPC, and Lucasfilm’s ILM. His portfolio includes high-profile projects such as Puss in Boots, The Dragon Prince, Monsters, Inc. series, Sonic the Hedgehog, Black Adam, Godzilla vs. Kong, and the critically acclaimed Stranger Things. His versatility and technical skills have made him a valuable contributor to both animated and live-action productions.
Rodmon’s creative pursuits go beyond visual effects. As an independent filmmaker, he has produced and written original short films, with his most notable work, The Seahorse Trainer, receiving international recognition. The film’s success on the festival circuit, including a jury award at SIFF, led to its qualification for the 2020 Academy Awards, solidifying Rodmon’s reputation as a skilled storyteller.
